We're a UX studio. We fix the screens where your customers give up.

Signup, checkout, onboarding, and the internal screens nobody wants to touch. We find the ones that leak, redesign them, then measure whether it worked. That last part is the CRO half of the job, and it's where most studios stop.

What we do

Three problems. Plainly.

Most studios describe their process. Here is what you actually hire us to change.

01 / Conversion

Your traffic is fine. The funnel isn't.

People arrive, browse, add to cart, and disappear. We take the whole path apart, rank every fix by what it's worth rather than how easy it is, and rebuild in that order. Our 136-point checklist is the starting map, not the deliverable.

For e-commerce & D2C
02 / Product & UX

Signup, onboarding, and the screens your own team dreads.

New products that need a first version people can use, and old products carrying eight years of accumulated decisions. We do the research, the flows, the UI, and the handoff your engineers can build from without a translation layer.

For SaaS, Fintech, Web3
03 / Regulated fintech

Compliance keeps rewriting your interface.

KYC, consent, disclosure, audit trails. Screens where legal has an opinion and the user still has to understand what they're agreeing to. We've done this under DFSA, SAMA, CBUAE, RBI and SEBI, and along AAOIFI lines for Shariah-compliant products.

For banks, neobanks, lenders, wealth
Productized audits · in the field

Two ways a launch stalls: a leaking funnel — or a regulator's no.

E-commerce bleeds revenue at the checkout. FinTech bleeds months in front of RBI, SEBI, SAMA and DFSA. Two productized audits, one senior team — pick your lane and watch it light up.

Every action Otto takes shows its reasoning, its confidence, and a one-click undo, so a finance lead can hand over control one notch at a time.

    Working in the Gulf

Arabic that reads like Arabic. Compliance screens that pass review.

We're a Mumbai studio, and most of our fintech work over the last three years has been for the GCC. The problems specific to this market are the ones we've already had to solve.

    RTL

    Arabic-first, not flipped

Layout, numerals, form logic and iconography built right-to-left from the first wireframe. Translation at the end is how you get an app that reads wrong to a native speaker.

    Regulators

    DFSA · ADGM · VARA · SAMA · CBUAE

Consent, KYC, disclosure and open-finance screens designed to survive a compliance review rather than be rebuilt after one.

    Shariah

    Murabaha, ijara, wakala, takaful

We design the disclosure flows that explain the structure in plain language before a customer commits, following AAOIFI conventions.

    Hours

    Ninety minutes ahead

Mumbai is UTC+5:30. You get answers inside your working day rather than the next one, and we fly in for kickoffs and workshops.

    Straight answers

The questions you'd ask on the call anyway.

    What does a project cost?
A teardown is a fixed fee and lands in about a week. Full design engagements are scoped per project and usually run four to eight weeks. We'll give you a number on the first call, not after three discovery sessions.
Where are you based, and does that matter?
Onyx is registered in Mumbai. We work with Gulf, US and Australian clients remotely and travel for kickoffs and workshops. Mumbai runs ninety minutes ahead of Dubai and Riyadh, so most of your working day overlaps with ours.
    Can you work in Arabic?
Yes. We design right-to-left from the first wireframe rather than mirroring an English layout at the end, and Arabic copy is reviewed by a native Gulf speaker before it ships.
Can you work with our existing dev team?
That's the normal arrangement. We hand off components, states and specs your engineers can build from directly, and we stay available through the build rather than disappearing at handoff.
    Will you sign an NDA?
Yes, before anything sensitive is shared. Some of our work stays unnamed on this site for exactly that reason, and we'll show it under NDA on a call.
What if the redesign doesn't move the numbers?
We instrument the changes and review them with you after launch. If something didn't work, we say so and we fix it. We'd rather lose an argument than let you keep a change that isn't earning.
    Ready when you are

    Show us where it leaks.

Thirty minutes, no deck, no commitment. Bring your analytics or just the product. You'll leave the call knowing where the biggest problem is, whether or not you hire us.
